The Fayetteville Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a seven member appointed board that strives to preserve and revitalize the downtown district through restoring properties and recruitment of new business and industry.

Note: Two separate boards govern economic development in the downtown area: the Main Street Tourism Board and the Downtown Development Authority Board. The boards work closely together with the Planning and Zoning department and the Art and Architectural Review Committee to enforce the guidelines established by the City within the Main Street Overlay Ordinance.
